Ways to Help
Donate a Vehicle
your old car can provide fresh hope
DMV Requirements for Car Donation
Donating your car to charity can be a very generous and rewarding act. 2gether wii can! inc. is a mobile organization – your vehicle donation can help keep our staff and volunteers on the road, addressing the need for food across our service area.
current needs
We are currently in need of two safe, reliable vehicles for our Meals ON Wheels Program. Outreach staff will travel within our service area delivering food to the needy. The vehicles will be used to pick up food donations. We are in dire need and hope to secure two vehicles to keep our costs low.

Donate Food
2gether wii can! inc. accepts food donations from individuals, companies, schools, and organizations holding food drives; food manufacturers, distributors, farmers with excess harvest, potatoes, fresh vegetables, and fresh fruits.
Donor Protection
Millions of pounds of food and groceries go to waste each year.
Occasionally, retailers and foodservice establishments are reluctant to donate food to soup kitchens and emergency meal programs due to liability concerns.
While we can understand the initial hesitation in this litigious society, the concern is unnecessary.
The Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Food Donation Act, passed by Congress in 1996, protects citizens and businesses who donate apparently wholesome food in good faith to a nonprofit organization for distribution to people in need.
This law:
- Protects you from liability when you donate to a non-profit organization
- Protects you from civil and criminal liability should the product donated in good faith later cause harm to the needy recipient.
All food donors will receive a letter acknowledging their donation which can be used for tax purposes.
Volunteer
volunteers can help company matching programs
2gether wii can! inc. always needs warm hearted, compassionate individuals who are able to offer some time in exchange for a child’s smile, an adult’s appreciation or simple thanks.
A number of companies have a dual method of encouraging volunteerism:
- They match their employees’ volunteers’ hours with an hourly allocation of funding for the not–for–profit organization.
- And match their employees’ donations on a dollar for dollar basis.
This is a great way to leverage your contribution just by doing what you are already doing!
